When she became a widow at the age of 21, Eno Udoh, a mother of two, inherited her husband's struggling electronics business and an empty bank account. Everyone advised her to sell the business due to her inexperience and the company's failing state, but she chose to rebuild it, refusing to let the tragedy dictate her future.

The Nigerian Civil War had already tested her, disrupting her education and separating her from her father. When her husband died in 1974, she embraced the challenge of running a company while raising two young children alone. Her discipline and determination transformed the business. Within five years, she increased the company's capital by 900% and expanded operations by launching a catering division.
