Victoria Onejeme built a remarkable legal career defined by dedication to justice. Called to the Bar in 1965, she advanced in the profession at a time when few women held senior legal positions. In 1976, she became Nigeria’s first female Attorney-General, serving Anambra State and contributing to legal reforms.
In 1984, she was appointed the first judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja. Known for her legal acumen and integrity, she delivered judgements that helped shape Nigeria’s judicial framework.
Outside the courtroom, she was committed to mentorship, guiding legal professionals who later assumed significant roles.
