A formidable presence in Nigeria's legal profession, Priscilla Kuye was the first and only female president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Her influence extended beyond the country, with roles including regional vice-president for Africa in the International Federation of Women Lawyers and vice-president of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

As chairman of the NBA's Human Rights Committee, she reinforced her commitment to justice. Throughout her career, she challenged gender biases in the legal profession, overcoming opposition from male colleagues during her rise to leadership.

In 1992, she declined an appointment to the Court of Appeal, expressing a preference for legal practice over a judicial role. She remained an advocate for women’s inclusion in legal governance, urging female lawyers to actively pursue leadership roles.
